1tesalonika 5:1 Tetapi tentang zaman dan masa, saudara-saudara, tidak perlu dituliskan kepadamu,
1tesalonika 5:2 karena kamu sendiri tahu benar-benar, bahwa hari Tuhan datang seperti pencuri pada malam.
1tesalonika 5:3 Apabila mereka mengatakan: Semuanya damai dan aman--maka tiba-tiba mereka ditimpa oleh kebinasaan, seperti seorang perempuan yang hamil ditimpa oleh sakit bersalin--mereka pasti tidak akan luput.
1tesalonika 5:4 Tetapi kamu, saudara-saudara, kamu tidak hidup di dalam kegelapan, sehingga hari itu tiba-tiba mendatangi kamu seperti pencuri,
1tesalonika 5:5 karena kamu semua adalah anak-anak terang dan anak-anak siang. Kita bukanlah orang-orang malam atau orang-orang kegelapan.
1tesalonika 5:6 Sebab itu baiklah jangan kita tidur seperti orang-orang lain, tetapi berjaga-jaga dan sadar.
1tesalonika 5:7 Sebab mereka yang tidur, tidur waktu malam dan mereka yang mabuk, mabuk waktu malam.
1tesalonika 5:8 Tetapi kita, yang adalah orang-orang siang, baiklah kita sadar, berbajuzirahkan iman dan kasih, dan berketopongkan pengharapan keselamatan.
1tesalonika 5:9 Karena Allah tidak menetapkan kita untuk ditimpa murka, tetapi untuk beroleh keselamatan oleh Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita,
1tesalonika 5:10 yang sudah mati untuk kita, supaya entah kita berjaga-jaga, entah kita tidur, kita hidup bersama-sama dengan Dia.
1tesalonika 5:11 Karena itu nasihatilah seorang akan yang lain dan saling membangunlah kamu seperti yang memang kamu lakukan.
Nasihat-nasihat
1tesalonika 5:12 Kami minta kepadamu, saudara-saudara, supaya kamu menghormati mereka yang bekerja keras di antara kamu, yang memimpin kamu dalam Tuhan dan yang menegor kamu;
1tesalonika 5:13 dan supaya kamu sungguh-sungguh menjunjung mereka dalam kasih karena pekerjaan mereka. Hiduplah selalu dalam damai seorang dengan yang lain.
1tesalonika 5:14 Kami juga menasihati kamu, saudara-saudara, tegorlah mereka yang hidup dengan tidak tertib, hiburlah mereka yang tawar hati, belalah mereka yang lemah, sabarlah terhadap semua orang.
1tesalonika 5:15 Perhatikanlah, supaya jangan ada orang yang membalas jahat dengan jahat, tetapi usahakanlah senantiasa yang baik, terhadap kamu masing-masing dan terhadap semua orang.
1tesalonika 5:16 Bersukacitalah senantiasa.
1tesalonika 5:17 Tetaplah berdoa.
1tesalonika 5:18 Mengucap syukurlah dalam segala hal, sebab itulah yang dikehendaki Allah di dalam Kristus Yesus bagi kamu.
1tesalonika 5:19 Janganlah padamkan Roh,
1tesalonika 5:20 dan janganlah anggap rendah nubuat-nubuat.
1tesalonika 5:21 Ujilah segala sesuatu dan peganglah yang baik.
1tesalonika 5:22 Jauhkanlah dirimu dari segala jenis kejahatan.

1tesalonika 5:23 Semoga Allah damai sejahtera menguduskan kamu seluruhnya dan semoga roh, jiwa dan tubuhmu terpelihara sempurna dengan tak bercacat pada kedatangan Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita.
1tesalonika 5:24 Ia yang memanggil kamu adalah setia, Ia juga akan menggenapinya.
1tesalonika 5:25 Saudara-saudara, doakanlah kami.
1tesalonika 5:26 Sampaikanlah salam kami kepada semua saudara dengan cium yang kudus.
1tesalonika 5:27 Demi nama Tuhan aku minta dengan sangat kepadamu, supaya surat ini dibacakan kepada semua saudara.
1tesalonika 5:28 Kasih karunia Yesus Kristus, Tuhan kita, menyertai kamu!
1 Thess 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
1 Thess 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
1 Thess 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
1 Thess 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
1 Thess 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thess 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1 Thess 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
1 Thess 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
1 Thess 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Thess 5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
1 Thess 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thess 5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
1 Thess 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
1 Thess 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
1 Thess 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice evermore.
1 Thess 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
1 Thess 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
1 Thess 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
1 Thess 5:20 Despise not prophesyings.
1 Thess 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
1 Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Thess 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
1 Thess 5:25 Brethren, pray for us.
1 Thess 5:26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.
1 Thess 5:27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
1 Thess 5:28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
