WE WILL REAP WHAT WE SOW

27 June 2026

Baca: GALATIANS 6:1-10

Bacaan tahunan: Psalms 74-77

A mother, an activist in the church, no longer wants to do good deeds-helping members in economic difficulty, visiting the sick, advising families in trouble, and various other kindnesses. She said she was tired of doing good because she felt that her kindness was often not appreciated, sometimes even met with hostility by others. In her opinion, those who receive her kindness are the ones who continue to reap and benefit from the kindness they receive, while she-who is diligent in doing good-does not reap anything.

Apostle Paul advises us not to grow weary of doing good because when the time comes, we will reap- we who do good-there will be a time when we will reap. With the good deeds we do, we will reap souls, bringing people to God. Because Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith. A number of people were brought to the Lord (Acts 11:24). Those who do good will reap glory, honor, and peace, while every person who lives wickedly will reap suffering and distress (Romans 2:9-10).

As long as there is an opportunity, keep doing good because what a man sows, that he will also reap. The Psalmist declares, those who sow with tears will reap with shouts of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them (Psalm 126:5-6). Those who sow will surely reap.
KEEP DOING GOOD. WHEN THE TIME COMES, WE WILL SURELY REAP.
