THE WEAPONS OF GOD

Many people believe in living relaxingly after being baptized. They think that salvation is already secured. They do not think about continuously strengthening their faith. Let alone growing in hope and love. As believers, our lives are full of dangerous risks. If we do not prepare ourselves, we are vulnerable to attacks and easily fall. Therefore, we should always be on guard.

So, what dangerous risks do believers face? We must prepare ourselves to face warfare with the rulers, the authorities, the powers of this dark world, and the evil spirits in the heavenly realms. The devil is always ready to deceive us. His experience in deception is as old as human existence. As believers, we must live like heavenly soldiers. We must also prepare all the weapons of God, which are truth and righteousness, as well as the readiness to proclaim the Gospel. Furthermore, we must strengthen our faith. We must also always live in the Word of God. And equally important, we must live constantly in prayer and supplication. Prayer must also be done at all times to be on guard.

Believers do not need to be afraid even when living with readiness for battle. On the contrary, we are asked to be on guard at all times. It is not enough to be an ordinary Christian.
